I’ve been writing stories for over ten years now. Initially, I began a journal to work through issues and then the idea popped into my head to use characters to do the same thing. I could do or say what I wanted, make characters deal with those same issues, but in a fictional life setting. The next thing I knew, I had story after story to put down and quite a few inspired by dreams that I elaborated on over time.

I’ve been inspired by many authors: J. R. Tolkien, Robert Jordan, Anne McCaffrey, and J.K. Rowling. I enjoy adding humor to stories even when the subject is serious to give enjoyment to readers. My main wish is to entertain and give people an escape from their lives for a while.

My first published book is dedicated to a friend that lost her battle with breast cancer. Through her, I met my publisher and she encouraged me when I thought no one would ever read my stories. I miss her and hope Shadow of Ireland will be an honor to her memory.
