Description
The Crossings: Inspired by True Events
It’s a ghost story…with a twist…
There’s a grisly fatality on the railroad near Lake Champlain. The Road Foreman called to investigate the tragedy, is a woman by the name of Claire Montgomery, who also happens to be both a Witch as well as a Medium.
When Claire arrives on the scene and climbs up onto the engine to interview the traumatized train Engineer, the investigation begins to spiral out of control as the spirit of the girl who was hit appears inside and communicates with her. The exchange troubles Claire to her core as she begins to suspect a crime has been committed.
With the help of her skeptical best friend, Teri Cooper, the two embark on a dangerous game of cat and mouse in the darkest regions of the spirit world to solve the crime.
The Crossings offers the rigid realism of the railway while pulling the reader behind the veil and into the world of majick—demystifying the practice of Witchcraft and the occult.

Great read! A well written story that bridges everyday people with the mysterious unseen (by most of us) forces that surround us. I couldn’t stop reading.

Brilliant! It usually takes me about a week or so to finish a book. Not this one. I finished it in two days. I could not put this book down. A fascinating ride into a place where the railroad and the other side meet.

Great novel! It’s a page turner, you want to know what’s around every page even if your alarm clock goes off at 5 am. It grabs you from the beginning for the ride and doesn’t let you go, leaving you in suspense …

Editorial Review – As a professional medium, I appreciated Claire’s character deeply. Reading this book, I could really relate to the struggles that Claire faced; the deep and compelling call from the spirit world commingled with the world around her which sees it as imaginary at best, or her, as crazy at worst. Even her own questioning of her abilities and sanity, at times, is the difficult struggle of a medium who has to live in two different worlds at the same time. Deciding between listening to the heart or the head may seem simple to some, but to Claire and those of us like her, it is a constant balancing act in this world of modernity. I appreciate the space that this story has given to explore that challenging (and not just the cool) aspect of that life. Claire faces it all with courage and conviction. She is my new hero!

Editorial Review – It’s easy to imagine the dark scary side of the unknown and harder to believe that there are Claire’s in the world. The reality is you could have been treated to a majick train ride and never been the wiser.
