The Petroglyph Series | Ancient Sagas of America: The Netherweir
Thirty thousand years ago, young Seldik, joined by legendary explorers and warriors, is sent on a Soul-seeking quest into the hellish landscape of the Netherweir, where megafauna is fighting for survival amidst the ice age.
To fulfill his destiny and discover his unique Soul-Type, Seldik must face the wrath of others protecting the newly discovered land and fight for survival after the brutal onslaught of Mother Nature separates him from his crew. Using their combined wits and skills, and with the help of unlikely friendships, will this brave group persevere or succumb to the overwhelming forces and simply fade into history?
Take a journey back in time with this first Ancient Saga of America, based on the true stories of those who discovered and dominated the lost continent during the harshest of epochs, and discover the secrets of our distant ancestors who carved their unimaginable stories into rocks as petroglyphs, which were once lost to us. But now, the author has deciphered them and finally revealed their tales.

About the Author
Chris Hegg’s research on ancient empires, treasure hunting, and Mesoamerican tribes is prominently featured on the acclaimed program Lost Gold of the Aztecs, which is aired on the History Channel. He’s appeared on Discovery Channel’s Ancient Aliens, plus many podcasts and radio programs. EXPRESSIONS magazine has published Chris’ work internationally, focusing on ancient languages.
Chris has dedicated his life to petroglyphs and ancient languages, wandering the hills alone since childhood. After joining the Air Force and gaining knowledge in cryptology, he spent over 40 years deciphering complex groups of symbol meaning. By actively engaging in networking, Chris cultivated relationships with individuals to arrange panel viewings in diverse locations throughout the United States, acknowledging the universal reach of their language.
The last missing part of the puzzle was discovered by Chris, who realized that the positioning of the sites was connected to the global export of goods by an ancient advanced civilization in North America. They relied on the ancient inland great lake systems to transport their goods to the sea.
Chris’ published book, Ancient Universal Language of Man: Deciphering Petroglyphs includes visuals and descriptions that allow the reader to take the book and go observe these conclusions firsthand at a local petroglyph site to further their own knowledge. This book won 1st place in TopShelf Magazine’s Indie Book Awards for History Non-Fiction.
The Mythical Phaistos and Magliano Discs Decoded, by Chris Hegg, offers fresh insights and connecting the dots between ancient calendars, petroglyphs, and the origins of our modern timekeeping system. Unlocking the secrets of a forgotten past!

Praise for Ancient Universal Language of Man by Chris Hegg
“Chris has done a good job of assembling in one location many of the recent maps and relevant research community publication commentaries on the Pleistocene lake levels in the western Great Basin and vicinity. Citing all sources, useful internet addresses are included. Where important to the discussion of the book, emphasis has been added for the purpose of highlighting where and when previous lake level high-stands have occurred. None of the material presented appears to be in conflict with current research. This material provides an excellent starting point to learn about the extent and interbasin connectivity provided by studies of the surface levels of water bodies in the last 30,000 years before present in western Nevada and southern California.” – Jesse Wellman, cpg, Geologist
“Chris is by far one of the most interesting and knowledgeable men I have ever met. From his earliest years, he would wander the mountains with prospectors, geologists, old desert rats, all on the eternal quest for gold or knowledge. His Grandfather would introduce him to Indians who lived a solitary existence, far from civilization, who would pass on stories learned from their ancestors. As you read this book open your mind. Let your imagination free. Check his facts, visit some museums and see the artifacts that back his theories. He draws an ancient world much different than you have read about before. Enjoy!” —Donald R. Dockrey, Captain, United States Marine Corps, Retired
“Before Babel, the Ancients spoke a universal language allowing for effective communication. The Utes spoke of all tribes once sharing the same language, and easily visiting one another by water until the water dried up and the tribes split, causing language to change and war to replace brotherhood. Chris Hegg unlocks the mysteries of the past via ancient drawings that show how those before us recorded the weather, trade routes, and their history. Ancient Universal Language of Man is deeply researched, with a plethora of knowledge and pictures used as reference points. For those having a background in or a deeper understanding of petroglyphs, this may be a great companion guide. For the beginner with little to no experience, this might be somewhat confusing. I enjoy history immensely and yet found this a tad too academic for my taste.” —Rebecca Katsikas, EVP & Director of Marketing, TopShelf Magazine
