I Love Gloves

I Love Gloves

by Kim Holley, illustrations by Kristen Hawkins

Imagine if your favorite superhero got dressed in the dark and put on the wrong pair of gloves? Wouldn’t it be funny to see your superhero in the garden planting flowers wearing a cape and mask and polka dot gloves? In a world of make believe, sometimes all it takes is the right pair of gloves to help you become anything or anyone you can imagine yourself to be.

My grandson Kohen has loved wearing gloves ever since he was old enough to keep them on his little hands! No matter where he went or what he did, you can be sure that he would have on a pair of his favorite gloves! I use to ask him to tell me all about his gloves, like why he liked them and how they made him feel when he had them on. He finally told me his gloves made him feel stronger and they helped him run faster. But also his gloves made him feel like a big boy that could help his Daddy work on his truck or help his Mama in the flower garden. So I had to share just why it is, this little boy says, “I Love Gloves!”
