Description

What might happen if you decide your nose is where beans want to hide? Find out one possibility as Grandpa recalls his personal experience as a young boy!

The idea for this funny, frolicking story came from a young friend of the author who happened to have a close encounter with a bean. This whimsically illustrated book will have all young children giggling.

“This is a wonderful teaching tool that really engages children and encourages them to interact. The story and illustrations are captivating. Our class loves this book. We made the story come alive with a coordinating science experiment by watching beans swell in water, then planting and growing beans out of a log. All the children can tell you now…don’t stick a bean up your nose!” —Laura Schmitt-Brake, Head Start, Independence, Kansas

Cute book – I bought this book because our 2 year old grandson was fascinated by a kid on TV who got corn stuck up his nose. He enjoys reading the book with me.

Delightful! This delightful first book by author TJ Benham is children’s humor at its best. When my preschool teacher read Don’t Srick a Bean Up Your Nose to his group of 4 and 5 year olds they each sat entranced as they waited to find out what would happen to the boy. After the story was read several children eagerly related their own experiences with various things in their noses. A book with a touch of humor, that fully relates to childhood experiences is a sure winner!

I’m always on the lookout for fun books to share with my little granddaughter. I love to hear her laugh, so when I read TJ Benham’s rolicking, rhyming gem, Don’t Stick a Bean Up Your Nose!, I knew I had to have it for our home library. It’s silly, it’s funny and it’s gross—in other words, it’s the perfect book for kids. And Jillian Dister’s darling illustrations will have you both cracking up. What a fun read!.
